That evening at 6:00 pm, all the schools will present a 6-minute feature from their show on the Shea's Buffalo stage during the awards ceremony, followed by the announcement of the awards. The awards include various categorical and individual awards. The two student winners of the Outstanding Leading Actor and Actress awards will receive an all-expenses paid trip to New York City in June 2017 to participate in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. The school that wins the Outstanding Musical Production award will receive a $5,000 grant from the Lipke Foundation to be used solely for their theatre program.
Tickets to the awards ceremony will be available starting on Saturday, April 29 at 10:00 am at Shea's Ticket Office or through Ticketmaster online or by phone. Pre-sale tickets will also be available through the finalist schools in mid-April.
