On Saturday May 14th all ten finalists will be joining us to rehearse, participate in workshops led by theatre professionals, and meet and spend time with over 400 fellow theatre lovers. Before check in and registration at 8:00am, the final preparations for Kenny Day were underway.

The school that wins The Kenny for Outstanding Musical Production receives a $5,000 grant from the Lipke Foundation to support their theatre department. “The Kenny,” a crystal trophy commissioned and designed exclusively for the program, is on permanent display at Shea’s and stands as a tribute to the young talent throughout Western New York.
The winners of Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role will represent western New York at the Jimmy Awards, The National High School Musical Theatre Awards, on Broadway!
